Kevin Durant is out indefinitely with a grade 2 MCL Sprain and tibia bone bruise. Analyst have written off the Golden State Warriors. Charles Barkley has even gone as far as saying the Warriors will not make it out of the Western Conference. While the Durant injury is a huge dilemma for the Warriors tales of their demise are premature.

The Golden State Warriors are currently 1st in the Western Conference. As a result Warriors could lose several games and still end up with home court advantage in the playoffs. Kevin Durant is one of Golden State’s MVPs. Warriors have Stephen Curry a back to back MVP who can help lead the way while KD is out of commission.

Kevin Durant Getting A Vacation

Kevin’s injury allows him to rest up the rest of the entire season. KD will not have to have all that wear and tear on his body that all of the other players will have. Yes, Durant is nursing an injury but he will be nursing his entire body. Rest is key in the NBA.

Teams play better with extended rest and the superstars play at another gear with extra days off. Kevin Durant will be off for more than 4 weeks. KD will not have to travel and will get proper sleep. It is safe to say Durant will be half a step quicker than his competition.

Golden State Too Good to be Underestimated

Steve Kerr has a lot to figure out with the injury to KD. In addition the rest of the NBA has a great deal to think about as well. People who do not believe the Warriors cannot get out of the west or win a first round match up are severely mistaken.

Warriors were able to close out the Houston Rockets and Portland Trailblazers, except game 5, despite an injury to Stephen Curry. The Baby Faced Assassin Is available this time around which means the Warriors have explosive capabilities.

Critics tend to forget the Warriors still have their core 3 guys in Steph, Klay and Draymond. Steve Kerr will be able to concoct a line up that will be effective with those three players. No matter what occurs as long as the Warriors have a semblance of a nucleus they are too dangerous to be counted out.
